What are the Parts of a Car's Brakes?

2. Brake Pads

   A brake pad is a component of a vehicle's braking system designed to create friction against the brake rotor or disk. When the brake pedal is pressed, the pads are pressed against the disc, generating friction and ultimately slowing down or stopping the vehicle.

3. Brake Rotors

   A brake rotor, also known as a brake disc, is a flat, circular piece of metal that is fastened directly to the wheel hub. When braking, the rotor is pressed against the brake pads, causing friction between the two surfaces.

4. Brake Lines and Hoses

   Brake lines and hoses are crucial in ensuring the proper transmission of brake fluid or hydraulic fluid, which is essential for effective braking.
